Pain, Growth, and God’s Plan: A Journey of Faith and Fulfillment

Pain is a teacher, but those who guide or cause it shape our understanding of it. Pain can be part of healing—like the ache from a long run or childbirth—or something we hide from, fearing its lessons. Without the Lord, pain can overwhelm, driving us to destructive escapes. But with Him, pain becomes temporary—refining, not ruining us. As Christians, the hardships we face on earth are the greatest we will ever endure.

Looking back, I never imagined being where I am now. I never thought I could write a book or that the Lord would choose to use me. Yet, the thought that my work brings the Gospel into homes it may never have reached is both humbling and exciting. Equally rewarding is being a mother whose child adores, trusts, and looks up to me.

Moving to Texas was pivotal. Staying here unlocked opportunities I couldn’t have foreseen—writing my children’s book, starting my business, and realizing my worth. I surpassed the limits others placed on me, especially those closest to me, who never fully understood my potential.

Marriage brought its own challenges. Did I ever feel held back? At times, yes. But growth happens in tension. The Lord used our differences to sharpen us. Through honest communication, we learned to voice our visions and support each other’s growth.

Could someone else have been a better match? No. Life isn’t about finding someone perfect—it’s about trusting God’s design. We stayed together, not because it was easy, but because the Lord kept us. Our differences, once obstacles, have become the foundation of a deeper love.

So, how do I feel about where I am today? I’m further ahead than I ever imagined—because I’m living the life God intended for me.

I encourage you to pause and ask yourself the same question—how has your journey, with its pain and joy, shaped who you are today?
